GlucoNightWatch is an application for Android mobile phones capable of reading NFC devices which can perform periodic readings automatically from the FreeStyle Libre blood glucose sensors, and generate alarms in situations configured by the user.When the phone is placed permanently on the FreeStyle Libre sensor in the form of an armband or bracelet (see www.gluconightwatch.com for details about armbands or bracelets), it can generate different types of alarm, whether local, with calls on the phone itself, or remotely by sending SMS messages or calling a programmed telephone number.
In addition, local alarms can be configured for stand-alone users, who prefer to receive alarms personally and wake themselves up should the cases configured result.
The application can also be used as a reader, obtaining the information every time the phone is put close to it, without alarms being generated.
